The Oppo Reno 14 Pro is apparently getting not just one, but two successors. According to the latest information from SmartPrix, Oppo is adding a better-equipped Reno 15 Pro Max to the Reno 15 Pro. This could be a potential "flagship killer", as the top model in the series is reportedly equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400, a flagship processor from last year that reaches performance levels close to that of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution is said to have been upgraded to an LTPO OLED panel, whose refresh rate can be dynamically adjusted from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. The lower minimum refresh rate is intended to reduce power consumption. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max reportedly features a triple rear camera setup, starting with the Samsung Isocell HP5, a 1/1.56-inch camera sensor with 200MP. Oppo is also said to be installing a 50 MP telephoto camera and a 50 MP ultrawide-angle camera, just like on the Reno 14 Pro. The selfie camera is also said to be equipped with a 50 MP sensor.
Furthermore, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max is also expected to come with Wi-Fi 7, an NFC chip for contactless payments, and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. A particularly large battery is said to round off the features, but details on the exact capacity are not yet known. The smartphone will launch in China towards the end of the year, with an international launch reportedly following next year. In India, the device is expected to launch at a price of less than INR 55,000 (approx. $619).
