Galaxy Buds 2: Spec sheet, product slides and hands-on photos leak of Samsung's next premium TWS earbuds ↺
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Buds 2 on August 11 and a slew of other Galaxy hardware. In advance of this, WalkingCat has leaked numerous product slides, including one that outlines all key aspects of the TWS earbuds. While the slides are in Portuguese, most words are written in English. Someone on Reddit has also managed to pick up their Galaxy Buds 2 early, although they have only published two photos of them so far.
Based on the slides that WalkingCat has leaked, the Galaxy Buds 2 will have a 5 hour claimed battery life that extends to 20 hours when its charging case is factored in. The Galaxy Buds 2 will also have three stages of active noise cancellation aided by a trio of microphones, including a voice pickup unit (VPU).
Moreover, the earbuds will support Bluetooth 5.2 and will be available in four colours. Additionally, the Galaxy Buds 2 will automatically switch between a Galaxy Watch 4 series smartwatch and a Galaxy smartphone or tablet. Unfortunately, it is unclear from the slides if the earbuds will support multipoint connectivity, or if this feature will only be available on Samsung devices. Speculatively, we would bet on the latter rather than the former, looking at the promotional material.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy Buds 2 at €159, ever so slightly cheaper than the Galaxy Buds Live that they will be succeeding. Pricing in other regions remains unknown at this stage, though.
