The Phawx has revealed new details about the Win Mini, GPD's answer to the upcoming ASUS ROG Ally. Supposedly, the GPD Win Mini will also combine an AMD Zen 4 and RDNA 3-based APU with a 120 Hz display but in a more portable form factor. The GPD Win Mini will launch for about as much as the ASUS ROG Ally too, albeit not in its most powerful configuration.

The Phawx has provided new information about the Win Mini, GPD's next gaming handheld. Previously, the YouTuber outlined dimensions and revealed initial device drawings, as well as a few other details. Now, The Phawx has shared estimated pricing, plus what APUs GPD plans to offer.

Specifically, the Win Mini will be available with the Ryzen 5 7640U and the Ryzen 7 7840U, a pair of Zen 4 APUs with RDNA 3-based iGPUs. For reference, the Ryzen 7 7840U has 8 CPU cores, 16 threads and the Radeon 780M, a 12 Compute Unit (CU) part. In comparison, the Ryzen 5 7640U features 6 cores, 12 threads and 6 CUs through the Radeon 760M. Additionally, it seems that the ROG Ally will utilise a custom version of the former, while the AOKZOE A1 Pro and AOKZOE A2 will soon be orderable with the standard Ryzen 7 7840U.

GPD hopes to offer both APU options with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Moreover, the Win Mini will have a 47 Wh battery, an OcuLink 2 eGPU port and a 7-inch 1080p display that outputs at 120 Hz. In other words, GPD is gunning for the ASUS ROG Ally, which will utilise a similar display and APU in a larger footprint.

According to The Phawx, the Win Mini measures 167 x 108 x 25 mm, compared to the 280 x 113 x 39 mm dimensions of the ROG Ally. The Phawx adds that the Win Mini will launch on Indiegogo in June, starting at around US$700. Presumably, that price applies to the Ryzen 7 7640U, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB SKU, with GPD seemingly unable to price the Win Mini as aggressively as ASUS is expected to do with the ROG Ally.
