A new rumour online suggests Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 FE and the Galaxy S22 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2300. The only evidence of the chip's existence so far is Bluetooth 5.3 certification.

Multiple leaks (and Qualcomm, to a certain degree) have made it abundantly clear that the Samsung Galaxy S23 will exclusively be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While there is one report suggesting otherwise, the Exynos 2300 will not power a flagship device, at least not from Samsung. Twitter leaker RGCloudS now says that Samsung plans to use it in other non-flagship hardware, which will be unveiled at an entirely new event tentatively called Unpacked 2.

The Exynos 2300 is supposedly fabricated on Samsung's in-house 4LPP manufacturing node, the same as the Exynos 2200. It will supposedly power the Galaxy S22 FE and the Galaxy Tab S8 FE. While the former's existence has been questioned by many insiders, the latter is real and has shown up on Geekbench, but with a MediaTek Kompanio 900T SoC at the helm. RGCloudS opines the aforementioned listing could be that of an early sample, although it would be quite odd (and cumbersome) for Samsung to switch chipsets midway. Then again, Geekbench listings are notoriously unreliable and can be manipulated quite easily.

Unlike its predecessor, the Exynos 2300 has stayed hidden from prying eyes. It did, however, get Bluetooth certification (codenamed S5E9935) not too long ago. Furthermore, the putative Google Pixel 8's Tensor chip is also said to be an Exynos 2300 derivative. Twitter leaker OreXDA, on the other hand, insists that the Exynos 2300 is still in its prototyping stage. They speculate that Vivo will use the SoC in one of its upcoming offerings. At first glance, the claim seems outrageous, but it is well within the realm of possibilities, given Vivo has used Exynos chips in its phones before (Chinese Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro variants).
