DJI Mini 3 Pro update arrives with improvements and a new feature for flagship drone
DJI has released V01.00.0300 for the Mini 3 Pro, a drone the company introduced in May. While the update's changelog is rather small, it adds some important features for the Mini 3 Pro, as the screenshot below shows. Fundamentally, the update should not affect amateur drone professionals. However, it could be useful for professionals who own a Mini 3 Pro rather than a Mavic 3.
Specifically, V01.00.0300 allows people to use a DJI RC Pro remote controller with the Mini 3 Pro, a feature that should have arguably been available since the drone's launch. Regardless, the update brings the Mini 3 Pro's remote controller compatibility to three, including the RC-N1 and the DJI RC. For reference, DJI does not sell the Mini 3 Pro with the DJI RC Pro. Instead, the remote controller retails for US$1,199. By contrast, the Mini 3 Pro costs US$669 on its own.
Additionally, DJI warns that you must have updated your RC Pro remote controller's firmware to at least V03.01.0900 before you can use it with a Mini 3 Pro drone. Moreover, DJI claims that V01.00.0300 increased video stability in Hyperlapse mode, as well as improving Panorama image quality by increasing the camera tilt angle range. The Mini 3 Pro's latest software update is available to download now as a 209.86 MB file.
