The game can be already preloaded by those who purchased it, but when trying to load Cyberpunk 2077 via GOG GALAXY, those in a rush to enjoy this title end up facing an Easter egg in the shape of a message from Johnny Silverhand that says "Go back to sleep, Samurai! It's not December 10th yet." and nothing more.

Less than an hour ago, I got an email from GOG which informed me that the event that everyone was expecting to take place during the weekend or today is on: Cyberpunk 2077 is ready for preload. This gives enough time to those with slower connections to download the ~70 GB game and have it ready for the December 10 launch, but...

... those who already preloaded the game and tried to launch it via GOG GALAXY were met by a message from the in-game character based on and played by Keanu Reeves, namely Johnny Silverhand. This message reads "Go back to sleep, Samurai! It's not December 10th yet." and comes over a rather lackluster landfill vista.

Leaving the Easter egg mentioned above aside, there's not much to do while waiting for the game to finally go live. On the other hand, it seems that CD Projekt RED have missed a chance to use the iconic yellow screen that was used multiple times to far, but since that color often spells "another delay" this would have led to an actually rotten Easter egg and nobody would have enjoyed that.

Other than the above, everything's fine and on-track for the December 10 release. Cyberpunk 2077 will hit Windows PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 will get it via backward compatibility and fully optimized versions for them will arrive next year. Sadly, the multiplayer part is a completely different story.
