Cyberpunk 2077: Over 200 hours of gameplay needed to reach the end

Playing as a nomad, a game tester managed to play Cyberpunk 2077 for over 175 hours without reaching the end credits. However, he did this on the hardest difficulty setting by playing more stealthy than usual while looting everything and using every single feature this upcoming game has to offer.

CD Projekt Red QA Lead Łukasz Babiel has recently shared on Twitter his progress in Cyberpunk 2077, making it clear that this upcoming title has a lot to offer in terms of replayability. Obviously, some might just want to play the game on the most difficult setting from the start, so those will get to experience over 200 hours of gameplay until reaching the end of the main storyline while going for all the secondaries as well.

When asked about the total play time of 175 hours and 43 minutes, Babiel came up with the following answer: "Not really, that's just one of my ongoing slow-paced playthroughs on the hardest difficulty where I play more stealthy than usual, loot everything, use every feature the game has to offer, I take my time ;)." He also added that he recommends new players to go with Normal/Hard for their first playthrough. Starting with Very Hard can be discouraging, as it usually happens in most games. On the bright side, he also revealed that the difficulty setting can be changed at any time during the playthrough.

Since physical copies of the game are already out in the wild and spoilers are popping up all over the place, we should get ready for more playthrough videos, as well as walkthrough videos and articles. In the end, most players will probably spend up to 150 hours to complete the game, but starting it all over again and looking to complete all side missions and loot everything that can be looted is a whole different story. If everything goes as planned, Cyberpunk 2077 should arrive on December 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S / Series X.
