If you were looking to get your hands on Casio’s Japan-exclusive DW-5600KHG24-1JR watch, which is part of its Hokusai G-Shock series, you'd be glad to find out it has just been quietly restocked at select online retailers in Japan. The news comes months after the model originally launched in January 2025 and rapidly sold out due to high demand.
Back then, we reported on both the launch and surprise restock of the DW-5600KHG24-1JR and its sibling model DW-5600KHK24-1JR, both of which celebrated iconic Japanese designs. The former featured ukiyo-e style prints from Hokusai’s Edo-period artworks and came with a special LED backlight illuminating the word "Japan." Now, fresh sightings confirm a limited second restock of the DW-5600KHG24-1JR model on platforms like Time Station NEO, Rakuten Ichiba, and Yahoo Japan Shopping.
According to a detailed blog post from Japanese blog Great G-Shock World, this model is still one of the hardest ones to obtain among the 2025 DW-5600 lineup, with "completely limited" production and very sporadic availability. The latest drop reportedly occurred around 6 a.m. JST on July 16, 2025, through Time Station NEO’s online storefront.
This version of the watch was manufactured at Casio’s Yamagata factory, which has been often used for premium and Japan-limited models. Priced around ¥29,900 (~$202) on the aforementioned online stores, this 52g resin-case watch features standard DW-5600 specs: LED backlight, 20-bar water resistance, countdown timer, stopwatch, and full auto-calendar. The packaging is also exclusive to the series and features Hokusai-style artwork.
While the DW-5600KHK24-1JR has yet to be restocked, fans of the Hokusai series should act fast, as listings for the DW-5600KHG24-1JR are again vanishing quickly - which is not surprising considering it has happened during every appearance of this model so far.
