Casio has officially launched its Black and Bold Red G-Shock series in the US, following its initial release in Japan. The collection encompasses five stealthy models with matte black cases, deep red displays, and sharp monochrome contrasts, which helps the watches achieve a uniform, aggressive look across digital and analog-digital formats.
The full lineup now available includes:
- DW5600BBR-1 - Classic square digital G-SHOCK at $99
- GD010BBR-1 - Large-format digital model, also $99
- GX56BBR-1 - Oversized "King" G-Shock priced at $150
- GA700BBR-1A - Analog-digital hybrid with bold hands, $99
- GAB2100BBR-1A - The only Bluetooth-connected model in the series, priced at $150
Each model retains the base watch’s original specs - such as 200-meter water resistance, shock protection, world time, and stopwatch functionality. The GAB2100 also adds solar charging and smartphone syncing. However, the shared design element across all five is undoubtedly the red-tinted LCDs or red accents, which stand out against the all-black bezels and straps.
The new drop is available now directly from Casio's official US store (links embedded in source). This rollout follows a staggered release that began earlier in the UK and Japan. While Casio hasn’t labeled this lineup as limited edition, its cohesive color theme and broad format coverage easily makes it one of the more distinct G-Shock releases of the year.
