PAC-MAN is 45 this year, and as part of the celebration, Atari has announced a special edition of the Atari 2600+ console in partnership with Bandai Namco. The Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition arrives as one of the products in the Atari x PAC-MAN Collection announced for the 45th anniversary.
The console comes in the same bright yellow as PAC-MAN with a matching CX-40+ wireless joystick included. The front of the console has the titular character and the Ghost Gang (Blinky, Inky, Clyde, and Pinky) which lights up when the console is powered on.
Atari will also ship the console with a 2-in-1 cartridge called PAC-Man: Double Feature which includes the original PAC-MAN 2600 game released for console and a new arcade-style PAC-Man game called PAC-MAN 7800. The Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition will be available to pre-order on July 23 for $169.99 from Atari's website ahead of its release on October 31, 2025.
If you already own the console, you can also purchase a special edition CX-40+ wireless controller which will be available in PAC-MAN yellow as well as the four colors of the Ghost Gang. Each controller will be available for $39.99 or as a bundle for $199.95.
The Atari x PAC-MAN Collection also includes a collection of classic games for the Atari 2600+ and the Atari 7800/7800+ (curr. available on Amazon for $122.26). The game collection consists of Galaga, Xevious, Dig Dug, and the aforementioned PAC-MAN: Double Feature. Each game will be available for $34.99 or as a bundle for $139.99. The bundle will include a pin and patch inspired by each game in the collection. Both the controllers and the games will also be available to pre-order on July 23.
