Anbernic has finally confirmed pricing and availability for its latest gaming handheld, almost two months after details about the device first leaked online. With that being said, Anbernic only officially acknowledged the RG477M's existence about two weeks ago. As expected though, the Anbernic RG477M will not be available this month after all.
Instead, Anbernic has now revealed that the RG477M will land at 10:00 UTC on August 2. In other words, while July will be the first month in a while where Anbernic has not released a gaming handheld, it will only miss that threshold by two days. The company has confirmed that a $20 launch discount will be applied to orders, which is expected to last until the same time on August 5.
The RG477M should be available to order from Chinese or US warehouses as well in a choice of Chocolate Bronze and Silver Blade colour options. The device will be available with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage too priced at $219.99 and $269.99, respectively. In short, the RG477M is effectively a combination of the RG557 and RG Slide (curr. $249.99 on Amazon) into a single device with a CNC housing.
