Amazfit launches a new Limited Edition of the GTR 3 Pro

For a health and fitness wearable brand supposedly linked to a new cycle of upcoming products, Amazfit seems intent on refreshing its existing flagships with new SKUs. The top-end GTR 3 Pro is the latest device to get this treatment. Its new Limited Edition is as up-to-date as its standard counterpart on the inside, yet ends up looking quite different from the outside.

Amazfit seemed to have gone to quite a lot of bother to confer a 3D-curved design on the GTR 3 Pro, ostensibly to help detract from its bezel - however, it has been completely dropped in the Limited Edition. Even its hardware buttons and brackets are flatter and more blocky respectively: the Zepp Health brand claims that these design changes are inspired by "the Bauhaus movement".

Then again, the newly-level display is the same "Ultra HD" AMOLED circle as that in the normal GTR 3 Pro, and is still rated to stay on for about the same amount of time as before. The new variant's case is also now stainless steel, and comes with a leather strap as standard rather than textured flouroelastomer.

The Limited Edition's band come in "noir" or brown in its Mystic Silver or Sleek Gold colorways respectively. It has been launched with a normal price of US$250, although there is a special introductory price of $210 at the time of writing.

That offer is available on amazfit.com, and has yet to reach other sites such as Amazon. However, the GTR 3 Pro's current discount on that platform might be a sign that its new Limited Edition is coming to join it there soon as well.
