ASUS begins selling new ROG Zephyrus G16 gaming laptop with powerful AMD Strix Point APU from $1,899.99

ASUS has now released the latest AMD version of the ROG Zephyrus G16, two months after presenting the laptop during Computex 2024. For context, the ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) GA605 is the second refresh of the ROG Zephyrus G16 to date since its debut in early 2023 and refresh a year later alongside the smaller ROG Zephyrus G14 (curr. $1,899 on Amazon).

As we noted during Computex 2024, it seems that the GA605 features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor as its primary upgrade over previous models. Consequently, the ROG Zephyrus G16 continues to offer a 1600p and 240 Hz OLED display mated to a 90 Wh battery. On top of that, ASUS equips its latest 16-inch gaming laptop with LPDDR5X RAM running at 7,500 MT/s, as well as a PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD.

Currently, ASUS is selling four ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) GA605 SKUs in the US, two through its webshop and two through Best Buy. However, the company only distinguishes two of these by their colour options. In short, ASUS has created three versions of the ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) GA60, which vary by their GPUs, SSDs and RAM.
