ASUS ROG NUC teaser video hints at powerful specs

We finally got a glimpse of the upcoming ASUS ROG NUC. The system will be the first of its kind, and you shouldn’t confuse it with a successor or competitor to the ROG C22H. At the core, the C22H is a full-fledged PC that features a small chassis. It basically replaces the NUC 13 Extreme that Intel debuted globally earlier last year.

On the other hand, the NUC lineup is more about sticking with the true mini PC form factor. The market has already seen a good number of gaming-centric entries, such as the Minisforum UM780 XTX (32/1TB curr. $634 on Amazon). Also, there will be more additions, including the PELADN YO series and Geekom gaming mini computer with an AMD RX 7600M XT dedicated GPU.

They are the competitors to the upcoming ASUS ROG NUC gaming mini PC. The teaser video didn’t give much detail on the specs, though. All that it hints at is that the system will be compact and powerful. But it’s worth mentioning that the company has yet to release a NUC PC with Intel Arc GPU, and the upcoming mini computer may potentially be the first.

That said, the teaser does suggest that the ASUS ROG NUC will have a design similar to the NUC 12 Enthusiast. That system came with a 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU with Intel Arc A770M graphics. More details should surface soon as ASUS prepares to debut the gaming mini PC at CES 2024.
