ASRock has recently debuted the NUC Ultra 100 BOX series. For those who missed it, it’s a lineup of mini PCs that packs the latest Intel Meteor Lake processors. Now, the brand has released the 4x4 motherboards that power the new mini PCs, offering the flexibility to easily make custom systems with the Intel Core Ultra processors.

Just a few days after debuting the NUC Ultra 100 BOX mini PC, ASRock revealed the NUC Ultra 100 Motherboard Series. As the names suggest, the new boards are the same ones that are found inside the newly released mini PCs. That means the motherboards bring the latest Intel Meteor Lake processors.

To be specific, the ASRock NUC Ultra 100 Motherboard Series is available with Intel Core Ultra 5 125H and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processors. The boards offer the option to pair these processors with up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM (G.SKILL Ripjaws 64 GB kit curr. $199.99 on Amazon) and up to three SSDs through the M.2 2280 and 2242 slots. These M.2 slots can support Gen 4 PCIe SSDs (SAMSUNG 980 PRO 2 TB curr. $139.99 on Amazon). There’s a connector for SATA 3 SSD or HDD as well.

As for the dimensions of the boards, they measure 4.1 x 4 x 1.5 inches (104 x 102 x 38 mm). That is, these are 4x4 motherboards. When it comes to the ports, the new ASRock NUC Ultra 100 boards come with the following:

  • 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DP 1.4 Alt mode
  • 1 x Thunderbolt 4 with DP 2.1 Alt mode
  • 2 x 2.5 GbE Ethernet
  • 1 x DisplayPort 2.1
  • 1 x HDMI 2.1
  • 1 x 3.5 mm audio

ASRock says that the NUC Ultra 100 motherboards can support up to four displays running at 4K. Also, the boards come with a dedicated cooling solution to keep the Core Ultra processor at optimal temperature during loads. You can learn more through the official press release found in this link.
