A global version of the RedMagic 7 Pro Android gaming flagship will launch soon
RedMagic has already released the 7, one of its higher-end gaming smartphones for 2022, outside its native China; however, many of its fans might have been holding out in hopes of the even more premium Pro variant instead. Now, the brand has announced that they may have been glad to do so, as the 7 Pro Global Edition is on its way.
Its latest teasers make it clear that it is indeed coming with the same under-display camera (UDC) screen from its original launch. This may leave even more space for mobile gaming on the 7 Pro's 6.8-inch front panel, although the first-gen upgrade does involve a compromise on some other specs.
RedMagic has made a name for itself as the Android brand with the highest refresh rates in the industry; however, the 7 Pro's new UDC panel only allows for a 120Hz rate, with a touch-sampling rate of 960Hz and an FHD+ resolution. Still, there are those who might live with that for the lack of a punch-hole.
The 7 Pro launched with configurations that go all the way up to 18GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of internal storage in China; however, there is no word on whether these SKUs are coming to additional markets or not as yet. RedMagic will probably clarify this point on its upcoming April 13, 2022 launch event.
