xTool X1 is an expandable all-in-one laser for makers and online sellers

A major motivation behind the development of the X1 was the fragmentation of hardware in digital manufacturing. High-speed engraving typically requires specialized Galvo systems, while different materials can require different diode, CO₂, fiber, or UV lasers. In most cases, that means more machines, more space, and, of course, greater investment.
With the X1, xTool wants to bring these different functions together in a single machine. The result is a system that combines high processing speeds, support for large formats, powerful laser cutting, and modularly expandable laser technology.
The manufacturer is primarily targeting ambitious makers, laser enthusiasts, and the growing number of online sellers on platforms such as Etsy and Shopify who want greater flexibility.
xTool points to three key technologies in the X1:
Hybrid Motion combines the traditional 55W CO₂ laser head with a Galvo head featuring an integrated 20W diode laser. This links a standard gantry system with the fast scanning of a Galvo laser in a four-axis motion system. This is what enables the X1 to achieve its high processing speeds of up to 6,000 mm/s while also providing a large working area.
Laser Swap allows the two existing lasers in the X1 to be expanded modularly with a 30W fiber laser, a 60W MOPA laser, and a 5W UV laser, with additional laser technologies planned for the future.
UniCast Frame is designed to provide the stability required at these high speeds. To achieve this, xTool uses a 4,000-ton high-pressure die-casting process, a method otherwise used for aluminum alloys in the automotive industry.
The product was already presented at the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Summit in the US. The official launch is planned for the end of October, with reservations being accepted through September. Visitors can get a first look at the laser machine in person at IFA in Hall 20, booth 127.
