Samsung Pay gets another update
Samsung Pay has received two major updates in the US since its launch. The first one added support for 16 banks and credit unions while the second added 20 more to the list. Now, the time has come for even more banks and credit unions, but also to add something new, namely loyalty cards.
Earlier today, Samsung announced that the users of its mobile payments system in the US "now have easy, direct access to merchant membership and loyalty cards to receive savings, rewards and other offers—all on their supported Samsung Galaxy smartphone." Next to this new feature, 38 new banks and credit unions are now supported as well.
The new version of the Samsung Pay app is 2.0.27. Samsung added support for gift cards to its mobile wallet last month. Some of the names in the list of 38 financial entities added to Samsung Pay are First Atlantic, Genisys Credit Union, Horizon Bank, Zions Bank.
