This new 13.3-inch Windows 10 ultrabook got a quiet unveil, and features low voltage Skylake processors, up to 16 GB RAM, as well as one 256 GB or 512 GB SSD drive.

The Zenbook family of Asus devices is very large, and we recently saw the UX305UA hitting the US market via Amazon. A similar model, dubbed Asus Zenbook UX306UA, has just been quietly added to the official Asus website, offering similar features to its sibling.

Asus Zenbook UX306UA is a 13.3-inch ultra-light notebook that comes loaded with Windows 10 Home and is powered by a Core i5 6200U or a Core i7 6500U processor. It also features up to 16 GB RAM, a 256 GB or a 512 GB SSD, as well as the usual connectivity features, including USB-C Gen 1. The display options include a full HD panel and a QHD+ one with 276 ppi, both anti-glare IPS with 72% NTSC.

Asus promises a battery life of up to 12 hours while connected to a WiFi network. The Zenbook UX306UA comes with 16 GB of WebStorage space free for one year. The UX306UA is not on Amazon yet, but should go on sale soon. We will get back to it as soon as that happens, so stay tuned.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
