Samsung Galaxy J2 spotted on GeekBench
The current Samsung J series includes the Galaxy J1, J5, and J7. According to documents from tracking service Zauba.com, Samsung is already testing a new Galaxy J2 model in India. Furthermore, the Galaxy J2 recently surfaced on GeekBench with the same SM-J200F model number as the one found on the Zauba documentation.
The leaked specifications from GeekBench include an entry-level quad-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A7 SoC with 1 GB RAM and Android 5.1.1. This goes well with previous leaks claiming a 4.7-inch qHD display.
The current Galaxy J1 is an inexpensive smartphone retailing for about 100 Euros. It carries a 4.3-inch WVGA display at 800 x 480 resolution, dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, and Android 4.4 with Samsung's usual TouchWiz UI. It is likely that the manufacturer will announce the Galaxy J2 shortly, especially after multiple correlating leaks.
