HTC launches mid-range One X9 smartphone

The recent leaks on the HTC One X9 have proven true as the Taiwanese manufacturer has only just launched the official product page for the device. The 5.5-inch smartphone will be larger than the current M9 with its 5.5-inch display and is aiming for the upper mid-range market with its octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC and 3 GB RAM. The rear camera will include optical image stabilization (OIS) and up to 4K recording. Battery capacity will be 3000 mAh, but the module itself will not be removable.

Only the Chinese product page has gone live so far, so it remains to be seen when HTC will announce availability in Europe or U.S. and at what price. The One X9 bears no overt resemblance to the much older One X, which was a flagship smartphone at its time of launch.
