HTC Perfume flagship coming in 2016
The HTC O2 flagship been apparently canceled, being replaced by the Perfume, which will launch with Android 6.1 Marshmallow and Sense 8.0 UI.

The future looks unexpectedly good for HTC, one day after the company announced a monthly revenue that hit a six-month high, mainly thanks to the success of the One A9 handset. Now, they only need to live up the heightened expectations of both customers and share holders. Next year, HTC is expected to launch a new flagship that might hit the market as "HTC Perfume" instead of HTC O2, as previously rumored.

Early rumors mentioned that HTC O2 would launch powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, also packing 4 GB RAM, 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage, 3500 mAh battery, as well as a generous 6-inch QHD display. Notorious leakster LlabTooFeR has shared the following on Twitter: "Remember reports about next HTC's flagship codename HTC O2? It's dead... HTC Perfume is next flagship. Android 6.1 and Sense 8.0_GP..."

Unfortunately, he did not reveal if HTC Perfume inherits the specs of the HTC O2 or we should expect it to sport a different hardware platform. At last, an interesting part is that "_GP" might say something about a "Google Play" edition handset. However, since Google Play handsets run pure Android and HTC customizes the software of its smartphones and phablets, we should take all the above with a grain of salt and wait for the next round of rumors.
