Nintendo is expected to share more information about the long-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake during the upcoming Direct event. And it seems that the company may be targeting a November release for the game.

Nintendo has confirmed that it will host a special The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct on September 8. This will be followed by a separate 45-minute general Nintendo Direct the next day, on September 9. The company has not yet revealed what either broadcast will feature, but fans are expecting it to finally share more information about the long-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake

In the meantime, it seems the game's release date may have leaked ahead of the events. A Swedish retailer called Retrospelbutiken has listed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Nintendo Switch 2 at 849 SEK, which converts to roughly $88. More importantly, the retailer has given the game a tentative release date of November 12, 2026.

The retailer itself makes it clear that this date is not confirmed, so it should be treated as a placeholder for now. However, it may end up being accurate, as November 12 falls on a Thursday. And for those who don't know, Nintendo has regularly chosen Thursdays for major game releases in recent years, making the date a believable choice for the Ocarina of Time remake

There has also been some discussion around a November release from insider NateTheHate. He recently suggested that the remake could launch in November, although his expected timing is slightly different. According to the insider, Nintendo could release the game during either the first week of November or the third week, which also happens to be GTA 6’s launch week

That said, we won’t have to wait much longer for more information, as the company will likely reveal the release date during the upcoming Direct broadcasts. Another retailer also accidentally leaked several listings related to the game, revealing a Collector’s Edition.
