ZTE just launched its new 6-inch smartphone, the ZTE Axon Max. It features a 1080p AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on top and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with Adreno 405 GPU. There's 3 GB of operating memory on board as well as 32 GB of built-in storage space, expandable up to 128 GB via an SD card reader. Naturally, the built-in storage is partly taken by the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with ZTE's MiFavor 3.5 user interface.
The rear camera features a 16 MP sensor, a LED flash and an f/1.9 lens with phase-detection autofocus, while the front-facing unit allow taking 13 MP selfies. The ZTE Axon Max boasts a 7.5 mm thin, aircraft-grade aluminium-titanium alloy chassis, weighing 188 g. The new handset also supports Dual SIM, 4G LTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standards, as well as A2DP (audio over Bluetooth) and GPS. The 4140 mAh battery comes with Quick Charge 2.0 technology. There's also a fingerprint scanner on board for enhanced security.
The device will be available in China in gold color version only. It has been priced at 2,799 Yuan (approx. $431). There is no information regarding availability on orther markets at this point.
