Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 6S, roughly five months after introducing the Redmi Buds 5 Pro (curr. $84.95 on Amazon) globally. In short, the Redmi Buds 6S relies upon 14.2 mm dynamic drivers and a combined battery capacity of 33 hours. Please note that this estimate includes the charging case that Xiaomi includes with each set of earbuds.
Additionally, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Buds 6S supports active noise cancellation (ANC) with two strength modes. Unfortunately, it has not shared any specifics in this regard. Moreover, the earbuds are said to support spatial audio, albeit only with the following Xiaomi smartphones for the time being:
- Redmi K70
- Redmi K70 Pro
- Xiaomi 13
- Xiaomi 13 Pro
- Xiaomi 13 Ultra
- Xiaomi 14
- Xiaomi 14 Pro
- Xiaomi 14 Ultra
- Xiaomi MIX Fold 3
Currently, Xiaomi has only released the Redmi Buds 6S in China. However, there is nothing to suggest that the earbuds will remain exclusive to China. For reference, the Redmi Buds 6S retails for CNY 199 (~$27) in China, which puts them on par with the launch price of the older Redmi Buds 5.
