Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi 8A
Redmi smartphones are famous for having very low prices and a high level of features. You can find out in this review if the recipe also works with the latest addition to the series, the Redmi 8A.

My personal rating for Xiaomi’s Redmi 8A is 8/10. Though there are some loopholes in the smartphone. But if we compare them with the price tag of the phone, then they are acceptable. The design of the phone is brilliant. And the battery is outstanding as well. Therefore, I would recommend Redmi 8A to people who have a price range of under 20k.

As we mentioned at the beginning, the Redmi 8A starts at a really low price of around $90 in India. This makes it easy to give the device some concessions, although there are things we wouldn't like to see compromised, regardless of the price.

The Redmi 8A is the latest and greatest in this price segment and you can blame all other smartphone manufacturers for that. If you want to buy a decent phone that will let you go about your day without much hassle, and has a great design, there really aren't many other options, barring the Redmi 7A that is.

Priced at Rs. 6,499, the Redmi 8A is definitely the best phone for its price. The device is not perfect by any means but it does not have a competing phone that brings as much value to the table as it does. There is the Realme C2 which starts at a lower price tag (Rs 5,999 now) and brings a dual rear camera and a very different diamond cut back design to the fray, but the Redmi 8A’s single rear camera more than matches it and the phone also has a much larger battery and display. In fact, many compact phone lovers might even consider the more compact Redmi 7A (which has a similar processor as the 8A) to be an alternative, given its smaller form factor (a 5.45-inch display helps!). Which of course, just goes to show how strong the Redmi A series is in the Indian market. And the 8A is a worthy addition to it.

The Redmi 8A is a good option for those looking to get a stylish phone under Rs 7,000. The phone is certainly above average, compared to what you usually get on budget phones, and the big battery size is another plus. The camera still needs some work, but then this holds true for most budget phones. For those still on older the Redmi 5A or even Redmi 4 series or Redmi 6A, Redmi 8A is a good upgrade to consider.

At the price of Rs 6,499 the Redmi 8A offers very good value. The Redmi 8A is not only beautiful but also offers good value for the money it comes for. The Redmi 8A brings the all-new Aura Wave Grip design that includes a textured pattern on the back. Besides the design, the Redmi 8A also offers great battery life and good cameras. The phone also offers decent performance and handles basic day-to-day task well. Overall at the price, it comes for the Redmi 8A is a safe buy. The Redmi 8A is selling in flash sales on various e-commerce sites in India.

The Redmi 8A has a big display, catchy design and a good capacity battery with fast-charge support that makes it a decent option in the budget smartphone segment. However, the phone isn't without faults, and there are devices from brands like Realme that do better overall, but at Rs 6,499, it's a great buy.

Xiaomi days ago announced one of its newest phones in time for the Big Billion Days sale in India. The short-lived Redmi 7A is now making way for the new Redmi 8A and the new iteration has some big upgrades at a reasonable price point. The Redmi 8A comes with a new attractive design, a solid battery with a fast charge, a bigger display, and much more.

The Xiaomi Redmi 8A has been launched mere months after the Redmi 7A (Review). While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439SoC remains the same, many other bits of hardware have been improved upon. The Redmi 8A packs in a bigger display and has improved cameras. Xiaomi has definitely taken a couple of steps in the right direction by opting for a USB Type-C port and packing in a big 5,000mAh battery.

If you are on a tight budget of 6-7K then Redmi 8A is the perfect choice for you. It comes with better specs than most of its competitors and handles everyday tasks with ease. The design is really good and so is the battery life. Wireless FM Radio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection, A 5000mah Battery, 18W Fast Charging and a Type-C port what else you need in a smartphone that costs Rs.6500? There are hardly any problems with the device and it offers what you pay for. However, if you can spend more we’d recommend you to check out the Redmi 7 and the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 as they’ll offer you much better specs when you compare it with the Redmi 8A.

Model: The Xiaomi Redmi 8A is a fashionable smartphone with long lasting battery. It is catered to the needs of different users. Available in Midnight Black, Sunset Red and Ocean Blue, the color options are certainly colorful and good looking. It also features a 3D anti-fingerprint curved body, which offers a different look and feel with S-shaped embossing. The Xiaomi Redmi 8A measures at 156.3 x 75.4 x 9.4 mm. It features a 6.22-inch 19:9 HD+ Dot Drop display, enforced with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which offers powerful drop and wear resistance and to ensure long-lasting quality. Besides that, it also features a low blue light display, which gives eyes more protection. The low blue light display can effectively reduce harmful blue light by 20 %. So, users can read for longer with more ease. The camera is a 12 MP camera with AI scene recognition. It is capable of capturing the moments of life beautifully. It also has HDR and phase detection auto focus. The front camera is an 8 MP selfie camera with 1.12 μm large pixels and f/2.0 aperture. The AI Beautify front camera automatically enhances facial features and allows users to show their beauty in their way.
Providing performance to the Xiaomi Redmi 8A is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and a Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU. As for memory and storage, it has three options, which are 2GB+32GB, 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. For second SIM or memory expansion options, it features a 2+1 card slot design, which means it can support dual SIM cards from different carriers. Both SIM cards can access 4G connectivity simultaneously. It supports dual nano-SIM card + micro-SD expansion, either card can be set as the primary card, which is convenient for users who often travels and require more storage space at the same time. Powering the Redmi 8A is the 5000 mAh high-capacity battery. Xiaomi claims that it has super-long standby time of up to 31 days. The Redmi 8A also supports 18 W Fast Charging. The battery can be fully charged in 2.2 hours. However, the charger provided is a standard 10 W charger. If users want to get the best charging efficiency, they can purchase a fast charger that supports 18 W Fast Charging separately. The Redmi 8A uses a USB Type-C charging port which is good because it can be plugged in both directions. As a conclusion, the Xiaomi Redmi 8A is a good looking budget smartphone. It is enough to run most apps and games which do not require demanding hardware requirements. This model is suitable for students, elderly or generally users on a budget.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

72.19%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
