A device has to tick several boxes to be a great budget tablet, and the Poco Pad 5G does that. From the really big and bright screen to an excellent pair of speakers, it is as good as any other budget tablet. The addition of 5G connectivity makes it a really practical device, especially for anyone who is looking for a tablet with smartphone-like features. If you are looking for a new Android tablet under the Rs 25,000 price mark, we definitely recommend the Poco Pad 5G.

The POCO Pad 5G is available in two storage options: 8GB+128GB for Rs 22,999 and 8GB+256GB for Rs 24,999. For the price, it’s a great tablet that offers an excellent multimedia experience and dependable everyday performance. It handles most modern 3D games with ease and works well as a workstation for basic tasks. The 5G connectivity is a standout feature, making it versatile enough to be your primary device. Plus, the battery life is impressive — casual users can easily get two days of use out of it. The keyboard and stylus should make the tablet suitable for work and productivity tasks too, but as of now, there are no details on pricing and availability of these accessories.

Alright, so should you buy the Poco Pad 5G tablet? Well, in short, yes, because it is a pretty good mid-range tablet. It's got a good high-resolution display with good indoor brightness, it's well built, the performance is not bad, the battery life is pretty good, and you can even play games on the tablet if you like. It offers good value for money. One of its main competitors is the Redmi Pad Pro 5G (Review), but it's priced slightly higher while not offering anything different.

The POCO Pad is a successful debut for the company in the tablet market, and the device has turned out to be impressive. Among its main strengths are the long-lasting battery, the 12-inch display, and the attractive price. However, its software feels too basic for a tablet, and the official accessories are overpriced. Overall, the POCO Pad is a high-quality tablet with a good price-to-performance ratio that deserves your attention.

The Poco Pad has been launched in a couple of markets so far - the Philippines, Turkey, Japan, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia to name a few. It costs $330, comes with 256GB storage and the 33W charger ships inside the box. These are enough reasons to choose it over the Redmi Pad Pro, which sells at the same price but in 128GB and without a bundled powered adapter. Unless, of course, you need a tablet with cellular connectivity/GPS as only the Redmi Pad Pro offers that. We do hope Xiaomi decides on expanding the Poco Pad availability, because it is an incredibly good tablet for a price that is hard to turn down. It has a large LCD screen with high resolution, high refresh rate, 68B colors and Dolby Vision support.

The Poco Pad is a decent affordable tablet that offers one of the biggest and best displays for its budget. This 12.1-inch 120Hz IPS LCD makes for a very good media experience. Performance is decent, but this is no gaming machine, despite the Poco branding. Meanwhile I am still not enamoured with Xiaomi’s software, which could use a little tablet optimisation. Poco F6 Pro phone users might be interested in the Interconnectivity features – they’re a little raw, but they work.

The Xiaomi Poco Pad is a great option for anyone looking for a reliable Android tablet that won’t cost too much but will do most things well enough. For less than £300, it offers a generously sized 12.1in display, a high-stamina battery, usable main camera and uncomplicated software, providing a rewarding overall package.

To conclude, the POCO Pad offers impressive value for money. For just PHP 15,999, the POCO Pad brings an enjoyable viewing experience along with powerful performance that’s superior to other contenders in its price range. It even includes a couple of surprising features like a headphone jack and a microSD slot to boot. The tablet only falls short with camera capabilities and some software hurdles. But for the most part, the POCO Pad is a fantastic first effort from the company. It’s ideal for anyone who wants both PC-level productivity and a satisfying media consumption without breaking the bank.

The Poco Pad is an interesting first try at the tablet market for the Poco brand. The company managed to find a good balance of features for the price, and for a price range that is not overcrowded currently—i.e. $200, $500, and higher. At the same time, the tablet fits well within the Poco ecosystem, not really replacing the higher-performing phones from the brand, while offering a good experience for watching movies and TV series on the go. And the integration with other Poco/Xiaomi devices makes jumping between them rather seamless—not on the same level as Apple, but on par or better than Samsung. In the end, the Poco Pad is a solid option for the $300 price range. It should be near the top of the list for Poco users, but even other Android users will be well served by it.

Priced at PHP15,999, the POCO Pad offers excellent value. It provides strong performance for gaming and productivity, a good display, and decent camera quality. Despite some shortcomings, like the lack of an OLED display and faster charging, our overall experience with the POCO Pad has been very positive. If you’re considering a tablet, the POCO Pad is a strong contender worth trying.

This is Poco’s first tablet, and I think that the company was able to deliver a very compelling device. The design is nice, the build quality is solid, the display is good, the speakers are great, the performance is smooth, and the battery life is decent. It’s an overall solid device, and it’s more than worth it for the price. If you’re a person who’s looking for a great device for some work, play, or other needs, I recommend you give the Poco Pad a try.

12.10":
This range of display format is largely the upper limit for tablets and the lower limit for subnotebooks.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small in size and therefore easily portable. The tiny display has the added advantage of requiring little power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is exhausting for the eyes. High resolutions, which one is used to from a standard laptop, are almost not usable.
The same applies to tablets in this size range.

79.38%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
