Xiaomi Note E-Ink Tablet: 10.3-inch and 5.35 mm thick E-Reader lands with Android pre-installed
Xiaomi has revealed a new E-Reader, just a few days after introducing a new version of the Redmi Pad. Offered only in China for the time being like the new Redmi Pad, the Note E-Ink Tablet is billed as a note-taking device, much like the Lenovo YOGA Paper. To that end, Xiaomi has pre-installed the WPS Office Suite, which is compatible with a bundled active stylus.
According to Xiaomi, the Note E-Ink Tablet supports 4,096 pressure levels across its 10.3-inch display, which it powers with a 3,000 mAh battery. While the E-Reader supports 18 W fast charging via its USB Type-C port, its reliance on a black and white E-Ink panel should ensure excellent battery life compared to the Redmi Pad 6 or the Xiaomi Pad 5 series. The Note E-Ink Tablet features Android 11 too though, much like the Lenovo YOGA Paper.
Additionally, Xiaomi has equipped its latest E-Reader with 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and an unnamed SoC containing four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores. For reference, the device weighs 440 g and is a mere 5.35 mm thick, which makes it a thinner alternative than Lenovo’s latest effort. The Xiaomi Note E-Ink Tablet is orderable from JD.com for CNY 2,699 (~US$388); there is no word yet on a global release yet, though.
