New EV maker Xiaomi has delivered 150,000 units of its inaugural SU7 sedan in less than a year, as revealed by company founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun.
Lei shared the updated figure in a video he used to demonstrate the Xiaomi SU7's autonomous driving. In an earlier video, the CEO said Xiaomi delivered about 135,000 units in 2024, suggesting the company has sold about 15,000 in 2025.
The Xiaomi SU7 launched on March 28, 2024, with three trims out of the gate and began deliveries in April. The Standard version started at RMB 215,900 ($29,800), while the Pro and Max started at RMB 245,900 ($33,900) and RMB 299,900 ($41,400), respectively.
Xiaomi is ramping up production, targeting 300,000 XU7 deliveries this year. In the same video, Lei introduced a special limited-edition red color option to mark the company's 15th anniversary, available for RMB 9,000 ($1,230). Deliveries will start in March.
Xiaomi has announced the Ultra, the SU7's performance trim, which will be officially available in March. Pre-orders have started for Chinese buyers willing to part with RMB 814,900 ($112,400). The company has also shared plans for its second EV, the Xiaomi YU7 SUV, which will launch in June/July 2025.
