Xgimi has released the RS30 Pro High Brightness Edition in China at CN¥7,299 ($1,092). The 4K DLP laser projector is rated at 4,500 CVIA lumens against 3,200 CVIA for the standard RS30 Pro launched in April.

Xgimi has released the RS30 Pro High Brightness Edition in China, a brighter version of the 4K laser projector it introduced in April. The model is rated at 4,500 CVIA lumens and is available on JD.com for CN¥7,299, which converts to about $1,092.

The standard RS30 Pro debuted earlier in the year alongside the RS30 Pro Max, RS30 Ultra and RS30 Ultra Max, with a rating of 3,200 CVIA lumens, or 3,600 ISO lumens. The new edition adds 1,300 CVIA lumens to that figure, an increase of roughly 40%. Its rating also exceeds the 4,100 CVIA lumens of the RS30 Pro Max, which sits a tier higher in the range.

Light comes from Xgimi’s QuaLas42 laser system, which uses 26 laser chips, while a 0.47-inch DLP DMD chip produces a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. A variable iris adjusts the aperture between F/2.0 and F/5.0 based on ambient light and the content on screen. Xgimi rates native contrast at 4,000:1, unchanged from the standard RS30 Pro, and dynamic contrast at up to 60,000:1, compared with 50,000:1 on the earlier model.

Gaming features include 4K at 120Hz over HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync Premium.

Color coverage reaches 98% of the BT.2020 gamut. The projector supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid, and it carries IMAX Enhanced certification. An integrated gimbal stand rotates 360 degrees horizontally and tilts 135 degrees vertically. The lens provides 1.2 to 1.5:1 optical zoom with vertical and horizontal lens shift, and Xgimi’s Eagle-Eye 5.0 system handles autofocus, keystone correction, screen alignment, and obstacle avoidance.

A MediaTek MT9681 processor powers the unit, paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Wired connections include two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC), one USB 3.0 port, and one USB 2.0 port, while Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide wireless connectivity. Gaming support includes 4K input at 120Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low latency mode (ALLM), and AMD FreeSync Premium.

A 26-chip QuaLas42 laser, 0.47-inch DMD and F/2.0 to F/5.0 iris drive 4K images with up to 60,000:1 dynamic contrast.

Two 12W Harman Kardon speakers deliver a combined 24W of audio, with support for Dolby Audio and DTS. The projector measures 298 x 249 x 190 mm and weighs 4.9 kg. Xgimi lists its operating noise at 28dB or lower.

The standard RS30 Pro launched at CN¥8,822 (about $1,320), falling to CN¥7,499 (about $1,120) with China’s national subsidy applied. Xgimi has not said whether the High Brightness Edition will be sold outside China. In the US, the company is taking pre-orders for its Horizon 30 series until October 31, with list prices from $2,499 to $3,499 and open sales scheduled for November 1.
