Last week, Xbox Game Pass expanded with three new titles. This time, Microsoft is adding just two, but shooter and roguelike fans might still have plenty to look forward to with Mullet MadJack and Enter the Gungeon.
Enter the Gungeon - March 11
Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell roguelike, a fast-paced dungeon shooter packed with an overwhelming barrage of projectiles. Players choose from eight characters, four of which are unlockable, including the Marine, Huntress, Pilot and Prisoner. Each has a dark or tragic past, with one goal in mind: finding the ultimate weapon to rewrite history. To achieve this, players must battle through the ever-changing Gungeon, a dungeon teeming with enemies, traps and absurdly creative weapons. Each character’s story is revealed in a special past mission, unlocked after a successful run.
Mullet MadJack - March 13
Mullet MadJack is a wild first-person shooter with roguelite elements set in the year 2095, where "Robillionaires" rule the world and everyone is hopelessly addicted to the internet. This addiction forces people to seek a dopamine boost every 10 seconds – and that short window is all players have to act. You play as Jack Banhammer, tasked with rescuing an influencer from a skyscraper’s top floor in exchange for a coveted pair of shoes. The catch? You can only move while people are distracted, meaning you have just 10 seconds to clear each floor. However, you can extend your time by defeating enemies, smashing vending machines for lemonade and pulling off brutal finishing moves. With roguelike mechanics adding replayability, each run features randomly generated levels, shifting enemy placements and a variety of upgrades to choose from.
