Between July 15 and 18, Microsoft added four new titles to Xbox Game Pass: a narrative-driven shooter, a horror game, an RPG and a wild first-person shooter. While only three games are coming next week, at least two of them are brand-new releases available on Game Pass from day one.
Abiotic Factor - July 22 (Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S)
Abiotic Factor is a co-op sci-fi survival game set in a high-security research facility. After a botched experiment tears open rifts between dimensions, alien creatures begin to overrun the lab. With security systems failing, the staff are left to survive on their own. What starts as a routine workday quickly turns into a desperate struggle for survival.
Players take on the role of scientists with one clear goal: survival. Up to six players team up to gather resources, craft tools, build shelters and fend off mutated creatures. Each character brings unique skills – such as tech expertise, cooking or medical knowledge – that are vital to the team’s survival. Progress depends on research, crafting and makeshift gear. Visually, the game takes inspiration from classic sci-fi settings like Half-Life, with a subtle touch of humor.
Wheel World - July 23 (Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S)
Wheel World is a third-person adventure racing game with a twist – you’re not driving a car, but riding a bike. The story follows a young cyclist named Kat, chosen by ancient cycling spirits to save the mysterious Wheel World from collapse. To restore balance to the universe, she must track down legendary bike parts and complete the sacred ritual known as the Great Shift.
You’ll explore vast, semi-open regions on your bike, uncover hidden secrets, and race against elite teams and eccentric rivals. Bikes can be fully customized with a wide range of parts – from high-speed gear to off-road upgrades. Races emphasize smart positioning, slipstreaming and well-timed boosts, with tricks providing an extra burst of speed. Completing challenges earns you “Rep,” builds racing experience and unlocks new features and upgrades.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers - July 24 (Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S)
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a dark action RPG in the style of a Soulslike, set in war-torn China during the final years of the Ming Dynasty. You play as the pirate Bai Wuchang, afflicted by a mysterious disease that transforms people into horrific monsters. As she journeys through decaying temples and plague-ridden villages, she seeks to uncover the source of the curse.
The game offers flexible combat focused on fast, aggressive gameplay. Players can choose from over 25 weapon types and combine them with 40 different spells, allowing for deep customization. The unique Skyborn system adds powerful special attacks to the mix. Instead of traditional blocking, combat emphasizes movement, timing and offense. The seamlessly connected world encourages exploration, while Unreal Engine 5 powers Wuchang's striking and atmospheric visuals.
