Microsoft appears to building a new FAQ section to answer the most common questions related to PC hardware in Windows 11. It was discovered in the latest Dev build by user @phantomofearth on Blusky Social (via The Verge). The user runs a dedicated account that breaks down the latest Windows Insider builds.
The section is an appendix to the About page in the System sub-menu under Settings. Currently, there appear to be three questions - one relating to the latest version of Windows, another for GPUs, and the last that tells you the ideal amount of RAM for your tasks.
These questions are displayed beneath your device specifications, which list your system hardware. It's unclear whether the list will change depending on hardware configuration or remain the same for all systems.
It's also worth noting that the list is hidden by default, even on the Dev build, which means it could be something in early testing.
In the answers, Microsoft suggests a GPU with more than 4GB of VRAM for better performance in games, and video editing suites. It could potentially pin notifications about future system updates in this section.
Microsoft also suggests more than 8GB of RAM for anything other than browsing, reading documents, or emailing. @phantomofearth also noted that this feature was currently hidden in Dev builds with version numbers 26120.3576 and 22635.5090.
