Windows 10 ESU update KB5075912 (Build 19045.6937) is rolling out for February 2026, addressing a shutdown/hibernation restart issue on some Secure Launch-capable PCs and carrying Secure Boot rollout targeting data.

Microsoft’s February 10, 2026, security update for Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) is KB5075912, which raises Windows 10 version 22H2 to OS Build 19045.6937 (and 21H2 to 19044.6937).

Shutdown and hibernation issue addressed

Microsoft says KB5075912 fixes a problem affecting some Secure Launch-capable PCs with Virtual Secure Mode (VSM) enabled: after installing a Windows security update released on or after January 13, 2026, affected systems could be unable to shut down or enter hibernation and would instead restart.

Secure Boot certificate rollout

KB5075912 also includes a Secure Boot-related change: Microsoft says Windows “quality updates” now carry targeting data used to identify whether a device can receive the new Secure Boot certificates, with certificates delivered only after devices show “sufficient successful update signals” to support a phased rollout.

In a separate Windows Experience Blog post published the same day, Microsoft describes the Secure Boot certificate replacement as a broad, coordinated effort across Windows servicing and OEM firmware, and reiterates that devices will continue to function if they miss the update but may enter a “degraded security state” over time. The post also notes that unsupported Windows versions (including Windows 10) do not receive the new certificates unless enrolled in ESU, and that some devices may need an OEM firmware update before they can apply the certificate changes delivered via Windows Update.

How to get KB5075912 and what to watch

Microsoft points users to the Microsoft Update Catalog for the standalone packages, and the catalog listing shows KB5075912 entries for Windows 10 (including 22H2) dated February 10, 2026.

Microsoft’s release notes also say it is not currently aware of any issues with this update.
