The OnePlus Watch 2 was announced in February 2024. Priced at $299, the watch features a stainless steel chassis, MIL-STD-810 certification, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. However, for Amazon Prime Day, the OnePlus Watch 2 has received a significant price cut that brings the price down to just $209.99.
For that amount, you get a WearOS smartwatch with an impressive battery life of up to 100 hours (up to 12 days in power saving mode), beating rivals such as the newly announced Galaxy Watch 7. OnePlus was able to achieve this by using what it calls Dual-Engine Architecture.
Unlike most of its WearOS rivals, the OnePlus Watch 2 has a second operating system and a second processor in addition to WearOS and the primary chipset which is a Snapdragon W5. This second chipset, the BES 2700, is paired with RTOS; both of which handle background activities and frequent tasks such as notifications, settings, workout, sleep detection, heart rate monitoring, and the launching of WearOS apps. When there are more intensive tasks, the Snapdragon W5 becomes active.
The OnePlus Watch 2 offers the basic health tracking features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, breathing rate, and stress monitoring. However, if you want features such as ECG, blood pressure reading, and even women's health tracking, then the Galaxy Watch 6 (curr. $199.99 on Amazon) offers these.
