Upcoming iPad Pro lineup to feature thinner bezels, claims rumor originating from reliable source
Recent rumors originating from Weibo, shared by user Instant Digital, claim that the upcoming iPhone 16 series might feature thinner bezels, thanks to "Border Reduction Technology" (BRS). This technology supposedly reduces the thickness of the bottom bezel by rolling the connecting copper wires upward.
Expanding on these claims, the same source has now speculated about the upcoming iPad Pro models, particularly focusing on expected thinner bezels. According to the source, the upcoming 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro variants will boast bezels measuring just 7.12 mm and 7.08 mm respectively. This represents a sizeable improvement over the current models, which have maintained consistent bezel thickness since late 2018.
As previously reported, the upcoming iPads are expected to transition to OLED displays. Reliable analyst Ross Young suggests a potential late March or early April release window for these devices, backed by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Additionally, they are most likely to feature Apple's latest M3 SoC, an enhanced landscape camera, and an overall slimmer form factor.
