Currently, Epic Games Store users can claim the PC free games the storefront offered as part of its Halloween celebration. These freebies will soon expire, and two new freebies will take their place in the free game section. With this refresh, the storefront will also reveal what it has planned for the period November 13 to November 20, 2025.
Ahead of the official reveal, MeguminShiro, a reputed leaker, has shared one of the upcoming free games. As per the report, it will be ScourgeBringer, a fast-paced roguelite platformer from 2020. The tipster reports that it will be one of the PC freebies that will be offered during the above-mentioned period.
As for the game itself, it's developed by Flying Oak Games, and the story follows Kyhra. As the deadliest warrior of her clan, the protagonist gets tasked to redeem humanity from destruction. To do so, Kyhra has to fight through demonic creatures, explore the depths of dungeons, and uncover many secrets.
The difficulty curve of this soon-to-be free game on Epic Games Store is a big highlight. It cleverly integrates bullet hell elements, and it also demands quick reflexes, as precise dashing and attack timings are essential for survival.
Other than that, the apocalyptic sci-fi narrative has also been praised by many, and for its overall design and execution, ScourgeBringer has received multiple awards. However, some note that the bullet hell mechanics are hard to master, while others noted that the levels could have had more creative elements in them, such as skill-based trap rooms.
ScourgeBringer generally goes for $16.99 when there's no sale in place. It currently has an 89% positive rating on Steam with over 1,150 player reviews, and there's proper support for controllers (Xbox Elite Series 2 Core curr. $139.99 on Amazon).
