Unihertz has revealed the Jelly 2E, a compact smartphone that the company claims is the size of a credit card. The Unihertz Jelly 2E has a 3-inch display, weighs 110 g and is based on the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, among other features.

Unihertz has unveiled another compact smartphone, having introduced the Titan Slim in May. Now, the company has announced the Jelly 2E, an updated version of the Jelly 2. According to the company's website, the Jelly 2E takes its sibling's design and makes a few adjustments.

Specifically, Unihertz has swapped out Android 11 for Android 12, a welcome upgrade. Unfortunately, the company has done away with NFC functionality and has exchanged 6 GB of RAM for 4 GB of RAM. Likewise, Unihertz has downgraded the 128 GB of storage in the Jelly 2 to 64 GB of storage this time around. Still, the Jelly 2E has a 3-inch display, weighs 110 g and offers dual-SIM connectivity. Additionally, the Jelly 2E has a 2,000 mAh battery like its sibling.

Furthermore, Unihertz has equipped the Jelly 2E with a MediaTek Helio A22, a budget chipset with 4 CPU cores and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU based on a 16 nm manufacturing process. Sadly, the MediaTek Helio A22 delivers approximately half the performance of the Helio P60 in the Jelly 2. Currently, Unihertz is offering US$20 off if people sign up before November 7. Supposedly, the company will sell the Jelly 2E for US$170, pre any discounts.
