The premium Kira series gets new models with FHD (Kira-10H) and WQHD (Kira-10J) panels starting at 1550 Euros.

The high-end Toshiba Kira models are some of the thinnest and more attractive notebooks from the Japanese manufacturer. The newly announced 13.3-inch 10H and 10J models will expand the existing lineup and include slightly refreshed designs that are just 1.1 kg in weight and 316 x 207 x 17.9 mm in dimensions.

The notebooks will have brushed aluminum alloy chassis with a claimed battery life of up to 13 hours. CPU options will be up to a dual-core Core i7-5500U with no mention of Skylake. RAM will be standard at 8 GB and the internal SSD will be up to 256 GB. The Kira-10H will ship with Windows 10 Home while the Kira-10J will have Windows 10 Pro instead.

The more affordable 10H model will make use of a matte FHD IPS display as opposed to the glossy 2560 x 1440 touchscreen on the 10J. Toshiba says the 10J model will feature its "Pixel Pure" display that will be pre-calibrated at the factory for more accurate colors.

Expect the 10H and 10J to launch for 1550 Euros and 1800 Euros, respectively. Check out our review on the existing Kirabook to learn more about the flagship series.
