Toshiba has just announced its new convertible laptop, the Satellite Radius 12. The company claims it's the "world's first 12.5-inch Ultra HD 4K convertible”, as it will be available with a 4K display (apart from a more regular, FullHD version).
The laptop will be powered by the newly announced, 6th-gen Intel Core processors up to Core i7 and will support up to 8 GB of RAM. Another interesting feature of the Satellite Radius 12 is the support for Microsoft Windows Hello technology that will allow users to log into their systems by showing their face to the camera. There is no information at this point whether the camera will support Intel’s RealSense technology. Authentication via fingerprint scanner will also be possible.
Coming back to hardware, Toshiba Satellite Radius 12 will come with a USB-C port, as well as two regular USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI output on the sides.
The Satellite Radius 12 will be available in Q4 this year. Unfortunately Toshiba has not yet released any information regarding pricing.
