At IFA 2015 in Berlin, Lenovo announced a wide range of new laptops and tablets today. Among them is the 12-inch MIIX 700 tablet. The most noticeable feature of the device is a rather big similarity of its design to Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablets.

Lenovo MIIX 700 features a 12-inch display with quite generous, 2160 x 1440 resolution (3:2 screen ratio). It comes with the newly announced Intel Skylake processors, up to Core m7. It will also have up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of SSD storage.

Just like the Surface Pro 3, Lenovo’s new tablet comes with a magnetic keyboard folio dock and an adjustable kickstand that can hold the screen at a desired angle. In order to achieve the smooth hinge action, Lenovo used to „watchband” hinges that we know from its Yoga 3 Pro laptop.

The device also features two 5 MP cameras, the rear one sporting Intel RealSense technology. Lenovo claims the battery will allow up to 9 hours of video playback. The MIIX 700 runs Windows 10 Pro or Home. It will be released in November 2015, starting at $699.
