The budget 17.3-inch C70-B-360 includes a 1600 x 900 resolution display and is powered by a Pentium 3805U CPU.

Toshiba has made available the entry-level Satellite C70-B-360 for a starting price of 500 Euros, which is 100 Euros less than the suggested retail price.

The C70-B-360 configuration offers a 17.3-inch TruBrite HD+ display of 1600 x 900 pixels. The ULV Pentium 3805U may be a low-end dual-core processor, but it is manufactured in 14 nm for lower heat output and power demand than an equivalent Haswell core. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 (GT2) comes standard.

Other features of the notebook include 8 GB of RAM, a 5400 RPM 1 TB HDD, DVD burner, 2x USB 3.0 ports with 1x Sleep-and-Charge, Gigabit LAN, WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, built-in stereo DTS speakers, and Bluetooth 4.0 + LE. Its operating system will be Windows 8.1 with the expected free upgrade to Windows 10. Battery capacity and runtimes are not explicitly provided by Toshiba.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I'm not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
