Toshiba Satellite P70-B to start for 1250 Euros
Toshiba will be refreshing its DTR (desktop replacement) series with the Satellite P70-B notebooks. Two configurations will be available: The P70-B-116 an P70-B-110 for 1250 Euros and 1350 Euros, respectively. Both are 17.3-inch notebooks with FHD displays and LED backlights. Both will also be equipped with the high-end Core i7-4720HQ Haswell CPU.
Differences between the configurations can be found in their RAM and GPU solutions. The P70-B-116 will ship with 12 GB RAM and an AMD Radeon R9 M265X GPU with 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM, while the P70-B-110 will ship with 16 GB RAM and a Radeon R9 M265X GPU with 4 GB GDDR5 VRAM. The latter will use Enduro for better power-saving features.
Otherwise, hardware features between the two Satellites are identical down to the DTS stereo speakers from Harman / Kardon, a 1 TB SSHDD, DVD burner, input devices, 2x USB 3.0 ports with Sleep-and-Charge, and 802.11ac connectivity.
