Toshiba's Satellite L305D-S5874 is one of many different configurations they have available. It is based around the AMD processor that gives it a bit of a disadvantage in terms of overall performance, but for many people it will be sufficient for their needs. The added integrated ATI graphics give it an edge over the integrated Intel solutions, but it still lacks the performance of dedicated graphics. The end result is an average budget system that has a fairly attractive price tag.

CommentATI Radeon HD 3100: Slower clocked Radeon HD 3200 onboard graphic chip with a reduced feature set (missing HD video decoding features?). Beware: Under Windows XP the HD 3200 may have no 2D acceleration because of a driver problem.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
Similar to the Turion X2 CPU, but with reduced power saving functions (no deep sleep, only 2 instead of 3 P-states).
