Timex launches new Quartz E Line watches, reviving its 1983 TV dial design

Timex has just added three new watches to its E Line lineup, and this time the brand is sticking with quartz instead of automatic movements. The TW6A01000, TW6A00900, and TW6A00800 all share the same rounded square case that Timex calls the TV Dial, a design the brand originally put out back in 1983. It's been brought back at a compact 30mm size, just 8.5mm thick, with 36.5mm of lug-to-lug spacing, which fits the wider trend of watches getting smaller and easier to wear again.
Each watch gets a sunray dial with simple hour markers and a printed minute track, sitting under a flat mineral glass crystal. The TW6A01000 comes in a silver-tone case with a light pink dial, the TW6A00900 goes gold-tone with a champagne dial, and the TW6A00800 mixes silver and gold tones, also with a champagne dial. All three are fitted with a 10mm stainless steel bracelet that uses a butterfly deployant clasp, and the bracelet adjusts to fit wrist sizes from about 5.3 to 7.5 inches.
On durability, each watch is rated for 50 meters of water resistance, enough for everyday wear and the occasional splash, though not built for swimming or diving. These are meant as dress watches first, leaning on quartz accuracy and a slim profile rather than sport features.
Pricing starts at $269 for the silver-tone TW6A01000, while the gold-tone TW6A00900 and the two-tone TW6A00800 both go for $289. All three are already up for sale on Timex's US website.
This isn't the only E Line news this month, either. Just days earlier, Timex rolled out three Automatic E Line watches with Miyota 8215 movements and exhibition casebacks, the TW6A00500, TW6A00700, and TW6A00600. Those come in a larger 38mm case, run $379 to $399, and lean more toward a traditional automatic watch experience, while the new Quartz E Line watches keep things smaller, simpler, and more affordable.
