Ticwatch is the increasingly familiar smartwatch-related brand of Mobvoi. Its latest model is the Ticwatch Pro, a watch with premium materials. In addition, it has both LCD and AMOLED displays. The company claims that this will help the Pro's battery last longer.

Ticwatch, Mobvoi's smartwatch division, is at IFA 2018. It has become known for smartwatches that offer what Mobvoi seems to believe are the most essential features of these devices. These often include classic design and at least some water resistance. Their new model, the Pro, has more exceptional features, however.

This smartwatch features a type of LCD (film-compensated super twisted nematic)) that is layered over a more typical round AMOLED watch display. Therefore, the watch could balance screen functions between these, or turn one off completely, to conserve or optimize battery use. Accordingly, Ticwatch claims that the Pro could last up to 30 days on a single charge (depending on usage).

Besides this, the Ticwatch Pro has IP68 ingress protection, health and fitness-tracking hardware and NFC for payments (using Google Pay). It runs Wear OS and is compatible with both Android and iOS. Unlike the earlier, cost-conscious S and E models, the Ticwatch aims for the premium end of the smartwatch market with a carbon-fiber case and leather straps. Its starting price is said to be in the region of US$249.99. On the other hand, it is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset, and not its upcoming counterpart, the Wear 3100.
