Samsung is getting ready to launch the Galaxy S26 series, but the successor to the Galaxy S25 Edge isn't expected to launch in early 2026. After all, the slim and light Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship is just around six months old, but the phone is already seeing a massive discount, thanks to the limited-time Black Friday event.
More specifically, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is currently down by $400, which is applicable for both the 256 GB and 512 GB variants. This massive discount brings the current starting price of the thin and light phone to $699.99 at Best Buy.
As for the phone itself, we noted many positives in our in-depth review, and the thin and lightweight build is one of them. The phone measures 5.8 mm thick at its thinnest, and in comparison, the standard Galaxy S25 is 7.2 mm thin, while the competitor Apple iPhone Air is as thin as 5.6 mm.
The Galaxy S25 Edge weighs only 163 grams, and we liked the titanium chassis of this Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone. Another notable highlight of the phone is its 6.7-inch display, which we found to be bright enough for comfortable outdoor viewing. It also has a 120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection.
While battery runtime is good enough for light to moderate usage, heavy users may not be able to use the Galaxy S25 Edge as an all-day battery life phone (compact 45 W Iniu 10K power bank curr. $26.69 on Amazon). The camera setup is another aspect where this thin phone falls a little behind other last-gen flagships, as it doesn't have a telephoto sensor. Its 200 MP primary camera can offer great shots, though.
Among the other highlights of the Galaxy S25 Edge are promised updates until 2031, WiFi 7, support for DeX and Auracast, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. You can learn more about this thin phone from our in-depth review.
