Built on the iconic DW-5000C design, these square G-Shocks combine old-school looks with modern essentials like solar charging and atomic time sync. Both the positive-display GW-M5610U-1 and the negative-display GW-M5610U-1B are now cheaper than ever.

Looking to pick your first G-Shock DW-5600 series watch with that iconic square dial? We’re seeing some serious discounts on two popular models from the lineup: GW-M5610U-1 and GW-M5610U-1B, with both watches currently down to their lowest price in 2026 so far.

For a limited time, you can grab the GW-M5610U-1 for just $105.58 on Amazon instead of the usual $165. That’s just $6.42 shy of its all-time low price we last saw in December. Meanwhile, the GW-M5610U-1B, which comes equipped with a negative display, has slipped to $110.28 from $165, the lowest price we’ve seen for the negative-display variant. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to grab a no-nonsense, daily-wear G-Shock, this is about as good as it gets.

Everything you want in a true daily beater G-Shock

The G-Shock GW-M5610U-1 and GW-M5610U-1B hit that perfect sweet spot of price and performance. They’re functionally identical, sharing the same classic square design and feature set, with the only real difference being the display. The GW-M5610U-1 has a high-contrast positive display, framed by the nostalgic red line around the bezel. Meanwhile, the GW-M5610U-1B opts for a negative display with dark gray accents for a more stealthy look. Negative displays can be slightly harder to read in low light, but the updated 3495 module includes a new high-brightness LED that should help mitigate this issue to a great extent. That said, the GW-M5610U-1’s positive display is clearly a superior choice if you care about pure utility and at-a-glance legibility.

In addition to their classic resin construction and shock resistance that made G-Shock a household name, they also bring along Tough Solar power and Multiband 6 radio connectivity, allowing the watches to charge via any light source and automatically calibrate their time via radio signals from six stations worldwide.

Ideally suited for smaller to medium wrists, both models share identical dimensions (46.7mm lug-to-lug, 43.2mm wide), and their slim 12.7mm profile and lightweight 52g build make these watches easy to wear all day, whether you’re commuting, traveling, or just knocking around on the weekend.

You also get a comprehensive feature set of timekeeping features such as world time across 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a bright white LED backlight with selectable duration.

The GW-M5610U-1 and GW-M5610U-1B feature a resin band and shock-proof case.
