PC building has seen a significant shift in the past couple of years due to the rapid advancement of AI and demand for memory. However, there are some combos and bundles that can bring major savings.

With the ongoing RAMpocalypse, it’s become quite difficult to build gaming PCs. That’s where combos come in, as they offer significant savings over sourcing individual components, but with the caveat that you must settle for what the combo includes. Micro Center, however, is not only offering some interesting bundles for both AMD and Intel CPUs, but also the option to create your own combo.

These bundles include a CPU, motherboard, and RAM. They offer a loophole for avoiding astronomically high RAM prices. One example is the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus bundle that comes with the CPU, the Gigabyte B860 DS3H WiFi6E 1851 motherboard, and G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM. Individually, these components would cost around $840 per the retailer's pricing, but Micro Center has it discounted to just $530.

Similarly, the AMD bundle includes the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the Asus B650E Max Gaming WiFi AM5 motherboard, and G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM. These components would individually cost $995 in total, but the bundle has been discounted to $750.

Micro Center also has the option to build your own combo if you want something more powerful than the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus or something newer than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. That said, savings with custom bundles may not be as significant as those with these pre-configured bundles.
