A new entry in the Katamari franchise, Katamari Damacy Rolling Live, will be coming exclusively to Apple Arcade. It's the first all-original entry in the franchise in almost eight years, the last original game being Amazing Katamari Damacy in 2017.
Like other entries, you will still be rolling up tons of junk using your magical Katamari ball to create stars to increase viewer numbers and bolster The King's budding streaming career. The more viewers you gain, the more subscribers join. Increase the count enough to unlock new stages and challenges to play.
The game promises "unique and whimsical gameplay and a captivating soundtrack that blends different genres." Rolling Live seems to be going all in on the live-stream aesthetic, with in-game fan comments and chat featuring prominently on screen.
Besides Katamari, Apple announced five other games coming to Apple Arcade on April 3. Among them is a new Space Invaders game, Infinity Gene Evolve, that lets players switch between classic and "shoot-'em-up" modes.
Also coming is a new puzzle game, puffies, made by Apple Design Award winners Lykke Studios, Atari's RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic+ that has been "enhanced for iPhone and iPad," The Game of Life 2+, the sequel to Hasbro's board game and Sesame Street Mecha Builders+, "a fun-filled STEM adventure for young learners."
